Cynthia Fierro

Cynthia Ann Fierro went to be with the lord on May 30, 2023, at Providence East hospital in El Paso Texas, at the age of 50. She was born on May 11, 1973, to Mary Melendez and Abel Fierro.

Cynthia graduated from Van horn high school.  She then went on to attend South Texas junior college in Uvalde, TX.  Cynthia worked hard.  When not working she loved watching her Texas Tech red raiders, visiting with her family, taking trips with her mom to El paso and taking care of her cats.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her parents Mary Melendez of Van Horn, Abel Fierro of Van Horn, her Brothers Joshua Fierro of Van Horn, Jacob Fierro and his wife Alejandra of Sundown, And her sister Mia Balcazar of Van Horn.  She was blessed with five nephews Lorenzo, Lucas, Liam, Elian, Zaid and three nieces Luna, Kailan, and Arielyn.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her grandmother Elena Melendez five uncles and four aunts.

A funeral mass was held on June 6, 2023, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Van Horn officiated by Father Frank Hernandez.  The burial followed at the Van Horn Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving were Jacob Fierro, Desi Benavides, Monico Benavides, Harvey Melendez, Diego De la O, Chito Urias, Lorenzo Fierro, and Lucas Fierro.

Funeral services were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn, Texas.
