Eduardo "Wally" Abreo

Eduardo “Wally “G. Abreo passed away in El Paso Texas on March 15, 2025. Wally was born in El Paso, Texas to Leonides and Eva Abreo on October 6, 1951.

Wally was a lifelong resident of Van Horn. He worked for the city of Van Horn for 28 years and retired. He loved horses, enjoyed playing pool and being around family and friends. He was fond of cruising the main Street in his pickup the Chuviduvi. He also loved dancing and was known for his finger pistol while he danced. Wally will be missed by everyone he touched.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his sons Emilio Abreo and his wife Marisol of Van Horn and Eduardo Abreo and his wife Rosie of Van Horn. His three brothers Leonides Abreo, Luis Abreo and Chepe Escajeda. Wally was blessed with nine grandchildren, Joanne, Robert, Joe Anthony, Jason, San Juana, and Roseanne, Ubaldo Jr. and Victoria.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leonides and Eva Abreo, his daughter Lisa Abreo, and his son Robert Abreo. He is also survived by his sister Rosalinda and brothers Ernesto, Salvador, and Richard Abreo.

Funeral services will be on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church officiated by Father Sergio Legarreta. The viewing will be from 10:00 am to 12 noon followed by the holy Rosary at 12 noon till 1:00 pm. The mass will start right after.

Pallbearers serving are Emilio Abreo, Eddie Abreo, Victor Abreo, Mike Rivera, Scott Peters, Baldo Gamez, and Manuel Luis Calderon.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn, Texas.
