Merced Nunez

On November 10, 2021, Merced Pantoja Nunez passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 81 years old. Merced was the mother of four children, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was born in Valentine, Texas and moved to Van Horn, Texas where she spent most of her life. In 2002, she moved to Midland, Texas. Merced always provided support and love for her family. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. All her children and grandchildren were proud to call her mom. Merced is survived by Fabian and wife, Mary Nunez; daughters, Wanda Nunez, Jennifer and husband, Pablo Baeza; brother, Jesus JR (Sonny) and wife, Lupita Pantoja; sisters, Eva and husband, Julio Reyna, Avey and husband, Bailey Molinar, Emma and husband, Nino Alvarado; and sister-in-law, Sally Pantoja. Preceded in death by her son, Joe Nunez; brother, Efrain Pantoja; and parents, Jesus and Martina Pantoja. They invite you to join them for a home going service. The service will be at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Van Horn, Texas. Rosary will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima.
