Norma Carrasco

Norma Jean Carrasco was born July 12, 1967, in Portales, New Mexico to Jose Trinidad Carrasco and Celia Torres Carrasco. She passed away October 6, 2021, surrounded by her two children, her mother, her brothers and sisters. Norma was a lifelong resident of Van Horn, TX. Norma loved to spend time with her son Cody and daughter Shannon, all her nieces and nephews, and all her family. She always wanted the family to be united and be together. She loved to play softball and watch her Atlanta Braves.

Norma is survived by her son Cody Davis of Van Horn, Daughter Shannon Davis of Fort Davis, her mother Celia Carrasco of Van Horn, Her sisters Eva and David Hernandez of Van Horn, Sandra and David Luna of Van Horn, Anglica and Marcial Gonzalez of Van Horn, her brothers Noe Carrasco of Van Horn, Samuel Carrasco of Van Horn, Jesus and Olga Carrasco of Odessa, Fernando and April Carrasco of Odessa, Joe Carrasco and Jeff Freeman of San Diego, Ca. Also left to honor her memory are her Nieces and Nephews Desserae Vega, Noe Carrasco Jr, David T. Luna, Marcial Gonzalez III, Travis Welch, Julie Tavarez, Jessica Carrasco, Marcos Luna. Blanca Gonzalez, Karima Carrasco, Noel Carrasco, Noah Carrasco, Carlos Hernandez, Joaquin Carrasco, Marisa Carrasco, Alisandra Carrasco. Great Nieces and Nephews Giovanni Luna, Misela Gonzalez, Melanie Welch, Alonso Tavarez, and Travis Welch Jr., Baby Welch and Baby Tavarez.  Norma is preceded in death by her father: Jose Trinidad Carrasco.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at the Van Horn School Auditorium.  Officiated by Brother Carlos Torres and Brother Diego Maria Carrasco. The Burial followed at the Van Horn Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving were:  Fernando Carrasco, Joaquin Carrasco, Ricky Solis, Jesus Carrasco, Moe Torres, Eddie Torres, Vance Cottrell, and Marcial Gonzalez III.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn, Texas.
