Zayden Donnavan Virdell

Zayden Donnavan Virdell, age 10, of Van Horn, Texas, passed away on September 10, 2023.  Zayden was born on September 25, 2012, to Iris Contreras and Andrew Virdell in El Paso, Texas.

Zayden was a student at the Van Horn School.  He was also part of the KIA (Kids in Action) children’s ministry at the First Baptist Church since he was 4 years old.  He was well loved by his peers, cousins, and other family members.  He loved playing video games with his brother Zach and playing with his wrestling toys with his brother Zy.  He also enjoyed babysitting his baby brother Zeke.  He loved football, and always enjoyed watching his favorite team” The Vegas Raiders” play.  Zayden loved wrestling with his dad Drew but always cuddled with his mom.  Zayden was a boy full of life and love.  He will be missed by everyone he touched. 

A funeral service for Zayden was held at the Karen Young Auditorium on September 21, 2023, officiated by Pastor Don Parker.

Pallbearers serving were Drew Carter, Andrew Virdell, Alonzo Vale, Zachery Enriquez, Servando Vale, Derrick Natera, Nathan Tarango and Brad Bricker.  

Honorary Palbearers were George Lopez, David Tarango and Eric Virdell.
